CHAPTER-9

Aria wanted to roll her eyes at the overacting Lucas was doing in front of her mother and aunt. The look on her cousin's face told her that she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Aria needed to talk about it to Lucas. She was not one of his girlfriends. They were going to be husband and wife. He needed to act a little more maturely with her.

But for now, she turned to her mother and smiled. "We have been dating each other for a few months and he proposed to me yesterday, Mom."

"What?" Bella asked, stunned. "Why didn't you tell me before?" She asked as tears pooled in her eyes. Happy tears! Finally her daughter was getting into a normal girly mode.

Aria glanced at her mother. She couldn't describe how happy her mother looked in that moment. She looked as if she was about to land in a fairy world.

"I wanted to be sure of my feelings first. But when he proposed last night I couldn't say no. I am engaged to him, Mom."

The three people standing in front of her reacted all differently
