“I understand," he replied, and then minutes that felt like an eternity passed, in an extremely uncomfortable silence. "But you don't seem comfortable doing this job," he stated finally. "Perhaps literature would suit you better than the world of TV and celebrity gossip," he added, showing that he knew what the English magazine she had worked for was about.

"I'm not bothered by celebrity gossip, as long as it's true and not fabricated... by themselves or anyone else," she retorted, raising her eyes from her iPad. "And the world of TV appeals to me too, as long as fiction is treated as fiction, and reality as reality."

"What do you mean?" he asked, curious.

"Reality shows, Nicholas. They're mostly a farce! And you know that as well as I do... or even better. It annoys me to come here and cover your show because, in addition to the sexist concept, which would be enough to displease me... I feel bad contributing to deceiving people."
