Today was the day that Vevina had decided would be her day of freedom from her past and her family; she was therefore slightly, very slightly disappointed to have found herself in the dreary interrogation room of the local police station.
Even then, to her anything was better than the house that she had been trapped in all her life. In fact, the jail environment and the presence of the officer in blue, sitting in front of her was sending slight jolts of thrill all over her 5 foot 7 inches body. She had, after all, envisioned herself to be here in this very same place a million times before if she were to succeed with her plan of killing her parents.
This was therefore a milestone in her life!
The thought of her ‘comforter’ or ‘savior’ did pop up in her mind and although there was little dismay she had never entirely trusted him to come get her anyway. Who in their right mind would risk getting caught with the charges of murder when they had nothing to do with it?
She would have, if given the opportunity but sure not everybody had her kind of fun in their mind as a pastime or hobby.
But after having killed two people she realized that it was more fun than she had initially thought.
‘Maybe I can make a career out of it.’
Her snicker caught the attention of the police woman sitting in front of her and raising an eyebrow at her smile she eyed her carefully and then asked, “Miss Yaretzi what do you find so funny to be laughing right now? You do know that you have been caught red handed for the murder of your parents, right?”
The way the woman spoke about it seemed to Vevina as if it had been a bad thing and pouting she said, “Yeah and I happily admit to it, what else do you want?”
Her carefree and emotionless attitude was scary to the lady who couldn’t understand what might be going through the head of this perfectly sane looking woman. To her she looked proper and neat as she had always seen her when she visited the church with her mother, the very same woman who she had smiled at then and had killed today.
“Vevina,” she sighed, unable to contain the curiosity inside, “Why did you kill your parents? I know you; you had always been such a good girl and they had been so good to you. Then why would you do that-”
Bang!
The sudden sound of Vevina banging her fist against the metal desk made her jerk in her seat. This time the doe-like eyes had been narrowed and glaring at her. “You know nothing about me or my life!”
Vevina hissed in annoyance. “This is the reason why I killed her! That woman had fooled you all into believing it. My life was nothing but a stage show that she ran. I was a puppet in her hands and she was a puppet in my whorish father’s hand.”
This was the first that the policewoman was ever hearing of this. The family of three had been a reputed and respected one in their locality. With Mr. Yaretzi being a lawyer there had always been people singing out praises of his help and success. For such a law abiding man and his wife to be held guilty of something so contradictory was difficult to believe.
Vevina could see that look of disbelief that she knew people would have if she were to ever seek help from them regarding their parent’s actions. This was exactly why she had never tried to speak up before. If her past self from six months ago would have been greeted with this look she would have broken down completely.
But not anymore, she didn’t need other people’s affirmation or company to live.
Heck, who cares if she lives? Certainly she didn’t.
Sighing and deciding to question the hysteric woman about her parents, the police officer then pointed at the gun kept on the table in front of her and asked, “Fine, we can talk about that later but where did you get this Vevina? You are only nineteen years old and you should have no way to be able to acquire a gun for yourself.”
Vevina was quiet as she pondered over the question. To tell the truth could mean to reveal her savior’s involvement but since the coward hadn’t shown up why should she let him claim even half of the credit of killing her parents? This revered task had been done all by her, alone.
“Did someone else help you? Was there someone instigating you to do this? You can tell us about them and we will make sure that you get a lower punishment,” the police officer said, having guessed correctly but the fact that she underestimated Vevina to have been able to do this on her own further angered the red head.
“No, no one helped me. I did this all on my own. Do you really think I would have needed someone to help me? If I didn’t have this gun I could have found another way. A knife, a spade or maybe some poison but believe me I would have gotten the job done some way or the other,” she therefore said, staring right into the woman’s eyes to let her know that she didn’t appreciate the doubts that she held against her. It would have been great to have been able to meet him once since he had helped her accept herself but if he didn’t want anything to do with her then why should she involve him in her affairs?
The officer noticed that pride splashed in her eyes instead of fear or repentance. It was scary to look at such an expression. If the devil could be reflected in anything then it would be those black pits shining in the center of the desolate browns.
It didn’t seem like any sanity could ever reap in those sick orbs.
While the officer slowly pulled her expression from disbelief to discomfort Vevina exulted in those fading signs of hope on the woman’s face. Deciding to let her ponder on it she thought on what would be her step going on from here. It was clear that she was either going to be put into a life of imprisonment or death sentence but a third option was the one she was aiming for.
She was planning her escape even as she sat there accepting her crimes. She noticed that the policewoman who had claimed to have ‘known’ her had been careless in keeping the gun within her reach without even taking out the bullets. If she wanted to she could try to grab and aim it at her head.
It’s not like she was trying to get her crimes to be lessened so she didn’t fear the system that was recording her every action in the cameras.
Her eyes flicked ever so slowly to her precious gift once and making sure that she had her expression pinned on the woman’s face she asked, “By the way did you know that I hadn’t been the only law offender in my family? Child abuse is a crime I am sure.”
She said and noticing that her words had riddled the woman’s attention away from anything else she lunged for the gun just as the door to the enquiry room opened.
Swiftly bringing the gun in her possession she stared at the face of an attractive man staring back at her. He didn’t look much older than her; maybe somewhere in his early twenties but the power that radiated off him had been different.
She wasn’t scared or anything but she felt subdued to look down and away at his gaze.
‘What the fuck is wrong with me?’
She grumbled and forcing her to look at him, she glared in his direction. The man smiled at her defiance making her tilt her head to the side trying to understand what was going on. He didn’t seem like the other ‘normal’ people that she had yet met in her life.
She sensed a familiarity in his eyes even though this was the first time she had been seeing him.
There was still something strange about him. The moment he had stepped in Vevina had felt her complete self, both mind and body turn, and in some manner be forced to acknowledge him. Her conscious thoughts didn't like how he had grabbed her attention but her body did send shivers through her, on a pathetic level of being enamored by him.
“You passed the test,” the man clapped, making Vevina confused as she stared at him with some interest. There was no context behind his words but she had a feeling that she would like it, in whichever direction this man was leading the conversation into.
“And what test would that be?” Vevina asked as the policewoman stood up struggling to understand the situation and gain control.
“What is going on here? Who are you Mister and you can’t just barge into an interrogation room,” she said but trying how much ever hard, she couldn’t bring herself to shout at him. She felt scared of this unknown man who had been much younger than her for a strange unknown reason.
Ignoring her and impressing Vevina, the man answered her previous question, “You didn’t rat out my involvement in the murder and that the gift was from me. You kept my identity hidden even in the grimmest situation and that gives you an edge above other people. You are just the kind of person that I had been looking for.”
Realization dawned on Vevina at his words. He was her savior and comforter, the coward who had left her hanging alone after having promised her something else.
“So you are the coward?” she asked, laughing, finding the situation to be highly amusing as she had never once imagined she would ever get to meet the man behind the screen again.
“I might be many things sweetheart but a coward isn’t one,” the man said walking up to her to look down at her, imposing his height and aura over her timid stature, “I wouldn’t have wasted my time to come and get you personally otherwise.”
The two stared at each other for a few seconds. Standing so close to him she couldn’t deny that he had been handsome with his blue eyes shining dangerously in the dimly lit room. He didn’t seem human with his large build towering over her but that didn’t bother her in the least bit.
“Don't you dare call me sweetheart or I might just kill you next,” she grumbled, letting him know that there were certain limits that he needed to maintain when interacting with her.
The man didn’t seem the least bit affected by the threat and with an attractive smile he caught hold of her chin straining it to make her look up at him. “I would love to see you try.”
The policewoman who had been swept to the side was rendered speechless by this interaction, finding it hard to understand how these two people could be so nonchalant about killing and murder inside a police station. Just who were they?
“Hey this-” She started to say but she was cut off by Vevina’s amused voice that broke free from his embrace and said, “It wouldn't be wise to underestimate me.”
She could tell that the man had let her off and the curiosity of what would happen next by his side made her stall his murder for a later time.
“I have to say I am disappointed though,” she said, throwing back his own words from the time when he had messaged her to not disappoint him and to get the work done properly. “But since you are here let’s get out of here and maybe I will think about letting you make up to me.”
Nodding at the policewoman she then walked out of the room. If this man thought that he could fuck with her however he wanted to then he was gravely mistaken.
‘Alpha Alastor?’A voice infiltrated the mind of the mysterious man who stood looking at the cowering policewoman still sitting in her seat.‘What?’‘I am done talking with the head officer and fulfilling the necessary terms for this deal; you can bring Luna with you outside now.’ Jax Ubel, the Beta of Pack Helix and subordinate to Alpha Alastor Tynen, said informing him that the task had been done just as Alastor would have liked him to. Grinning at the good news which Alastor knew wouldn’t have been hard for his capable Beta to have gotten done he walked out of the interrogation room and towards the lobby to find Vevina aiming her gun at a passing officer who was looking at her with some discomfort while Jax came out of another corridor talking to a man.On feeling his Alpha’s presence Jax looked and bowed his head in respect making the officer look towards Alastor as well. Walking up to him he stretched out his hand for a handshake as he greeted him, “John Dean at your service Mr.
“Please wait here, Alp-, I mean Mr. Tynen will be back in a few minutes.” That was the instruction given to Vevina without a single care about her own wishes. As she had said before she had fallen asleep in the vehicle having a sweet dream for the first time in a long while. Still groggy from her sleep she hadn’t been able to grasp her sense of surroundings and by the time she realized where she had been she found herself all alone in a big office overlooking the cityscape glittering from the numerous lights shrouding the busy night. She vaguely remembered Alastor informing her that he had to stop by his office to do some work before he would take her to her new home but she wasn’t very sure. Deciding to snoop around she walked forward to the gigantic table sat in the middle of the room and her attention was at once attracted to the black name plate kept on it. ‘CEO ALASTOR TYNEN’ The words were written in gold italics carved beautifully into its black background making it stand
It was unknown to Vevina when she had been robbed off her weapon but the shard of glass that she had used to wreck Alastor’s precious painting now glistened in his hand and swifter than a blink of her eye he had cut off her dress’s strap making the material fall down at once.In the bright light of his office Vevina stood bare in front of Alastor’s hungry eyes in nothing but a matching pair of black lacy underwear. It had been the sexy kind that had been enticing and teasing with enough fabric to make a man’s imagination dance at the anticipation of what was hidden behind the beautiful flower patterns. The sudden nakedness and lack of clothing would have made anyone feel ashamed or awkward, especially when someone was staring at their body but not Vevina. She had been so used to her mother ripping off her clothes to hit her that shedding off clothes for someone else’s vision didn’t even bother her anymore. But her body had been so well conditioned to the actions that came after it tha
“I thought I told you Jax that I didn’t want any disturbance today,” Alastor grunted, walking out of his penthouse to a floor below where Jax was waiting for him in a conference room.“I am sorry Alpha but this was important. I wouldn’t have bothered you otherwise,” Jax apologized, noting that his Alpha had been wearing nothing but a robe. From the heavy air of sex that followed him, he was aware that when he had retired for the night to his room a few hours ago Alastor must have mated with his mate and the thought made him happy.Alastor had been waiting and searching for her for so long- to be specific for the past six years since he had turned eighteen that it had almost become disheartening to watch at one point. And yet even when he found her he still had to wait to have her for six more months and having seen the two struggle all along he was the happiest at this treacherously long awaited union.Besides him only a few knew about this bond to begin with.“What is it?” Alastor as
*The present time* Glaring at the hand that had almost destroyed her body from his roughness and fucked with her mind with its gentleness she slowly moved it away. She didn’t want to wake him up yet, liking the quiet solitude that she had lived in almost all her life.It was weird how just when she had made peace with the fact that she was fine with being alone this huge beast of a man had barreled into her life. She didn’t quite understand what he wanted with her and that messed with her head. On one hand he said he was just her employer and on the other hand he treated her like she was a fucking queen.Getting off the massive bed she felt a slight pain in her core from the rough sex that he had gifted her with for taking her punishment so well before. Standing naked in front of him she blocked the sunlight coming in through the glass wall that took up an entire one side of their bed room. This slight distance from him was making her body itch for some unknown reason and she wa
Stretching out her limbs Vevina stepped back into the pent house. It was an easy kill and she felt herself to be thoroughly refreshed after this little exercise.Walking to the kitchen she saw a basket of fruits kept on the island and feeling her stomach grumble from hunger she was about to take one when she realized that her hands were still dirty from the blood. It had completely escaped her mind that she had to wash her hands and walking to the kitchen sink she vigorously rubbed at it with the liquid soap kept there. When the smell of roses filled the air and her hands reverted back to their ivory color she wiped them on a hand towel kept there and rushed to get her food.“You might want to change your clothes and shoe before you get that,” Alastor’s voice cut through the silence making her realize that she wasn’t alone.Looking towards the entrance she saw him standing there. He was bathed and dressed in new clothes, a luxurious brown suit that was left open in the front to displa
Walking through the lavish ambience set up in a luxurious hall with Vevina by his side, felt enchantingly unreal to Alastor. She wasn’t small by any means but beside his towering height she looked so delicate to him that he didn’t want to part from her even for a second.Vevina was easily the most beautiful woman attending the charity event. Her long legs weren’t visible because of the fishtail finish of the gown but her curves perfectly embraced by the thin shiny material almost made him want to take her right back to their bedroom and make love to her. They had been late because of the slight deviation that Vevina’s act had brought upon and not wanting to be late anymore Alastor had to force himself to curb his desires after seeing the finished look of her already beautiful self.‘Are the preparations made?’ Alastor asked Jax through the mind link.‘Yes, Alpha everything has been arranged as you had wished for.’ The reply came back.“So this is the kind of party that you go to,” Vev
Antipathy rooted deep within Vevina’s barren heart snared at her and clutching her lungs making it hard for her to breathe.Demonic eyes banal and abhorring stared at her from every direction. It prickled her skin seeping through the outer layers and deep within her body making the years of abrasion come alive. Her mind whirled as her eyes flicked all around at the vapid eyes filled with malice.‘A pitiful monster that no one loves!’The words they chortled echoed in her head afflicting pain and sadness as an after effect of all the bullying that she had faced. She had believed that she had changed and that she had become better but after leaving high school she had never met them once. She had believed that would be the case forever. That wasn’t true and since her mind wasn’t prepared for these sudden tribulations it was making her light headed. The table before her eyes blurred, her head felt heavy and the gazes on her only increased the iron pricks sensation stabbing through her.
