Chapter 12

Athena's POV

During the trip, my heart was always pounding in my chest, and my wolf was pacing inside of me. Everyone else around me seemed excited to go there, but I stayed quiet and moved around in my seat a lot.

"Why are you acting like that?" "Are there ants in Jacob's pants?" asked Locros. He asked, and Jacob gave him a look right away, while the others laughed.

Jacob grumbled, "I gave her the newest set of clothes."

"Still, she looks like she doesn't feel good," Locros said, narrowing his eyes at me. He was the one of us who paid the most attention. I didn't know if it was because of his skills or not, but he was very good at figuring out what people were thinking.

He was always smart enough to figure out what was going on, so it was hard to keep things from him. I was curious about whether he knew anything about Lucian and me. I'd be damned if he knew, but the way he was acting told me he didn't know.

He would have talked to me about this if I hadn't told him.
