"Are we there yet?" Asked Maeve. She was sitting at the back of the truck while keeping Mr. Dunckles close to her chest. Denise has been driving for almost an hour now, their town is at least an hour and a half away from Scorch hills, the fest will not start until midnight so they have a lot of time to waste in their hands.
"No, sweetie, why don't you sleep a little?" Linda said to Maeve. She pursed her lips then formed a smile, Mave nodded at her. She slowly closed her eyes holding Mr. Dunckles tightly.
Alina was quiet, for some reason something about this trip does not sit right with her. At first, she thought that maybe this would be fun and keep them closer but that feeling she felt earlier was almost uncertain if there is anything good that would come out in this trip.
