Lucien's POV

Two days earlier, I pace the room, my mind filled with worry and frustration after ending the call with Lauren. How could she be so careless as to announce her return home during such a dangerous time? The thought gnaws at me, fueling my restless movements. I reach for my phone and dial Adam’s number, knowing he will understand the urgency of the situation.

“Adam,” I say, my voice laced with concern. “We have a problem. Lauren is coming back home, and it’s completely unplanned.”

There’s a brief pause on the other end of the line before Adam responds, his voice filled with exasperation. “Lucien, her decisions are reckless. We need to be prepared for any potential threats. I’ll gather a team of guards and arrange for a convoy of cars to pick her up from the airport.”

Relief washes over me as I hear Adam taking charge of the situation. It’s moments like these that remind me why I rely on him. With his expertise and dedication, I know he will ensure Lauren’s safety.
