Chapter Twenty-One
“Jax!” Meghan screamed across the yard.
As we turned towards her, Jax shook his head. “I can’t hear my pack,” he said, sounding hurt.
“Do you think it was the memory?” I asked him.
“Jax! They’re here!” Meghan screamed again. She was running towards us and I finally noticed the blood on her clothes.
Jax caught up to her “I can’t hear the pack, you have to communicate to them Meghan. You know the plan! Go!” She took off back towards the front of the house, stripping off her clothes. I saw a glimpse of white fur before it disappeared.

Damien didn’t follow me into the cottage and I didn’t see Autumn either. There sat a small bowl and cup on a wooden table, it looked like a tree had simply fallen over and they chopped it in half.Without waiting for invitation, I sat down and scarfed the food down as I was a wolf animal.
