Chapter 28

TJ’s POV

I left Hayley’s, giggling to myself as I headed out the door, the effects of the alcohol would not last long so I was enjoying it. I was grateful for Hayley talking to me, the whole time I didn’t feel anything bad towards her like I had before, my gut instinct telling me to believe everything she was saying. I had folded the paper back up carefully and shoved it deep into my hip pocket. I wasn’t ready to share it with Erik yet and I still was not certain about him, even if we are supposed to be together.

As I stepped down the stairs of Hayley’s porch, the stench of blood was strong and I watched as some of Erik’s men carried dead wolves and people across the grounds.
