Chapter 9

"No, we're not," Jacob quickly answered him.

He held Alices warm hands to give her a warning not to do whatever she was thinking.

"You both come outside, food is ready!" he said coldly and turned his back on them.

Alice let out a deep sigh. She was holding her breath for a moment preventing herself from talking.

She let out that deep breath and smiled widely at Jacob. She taps his shoulder to tell him he can relax and find her way out to where that dining room could be.

While at the dining table, Jacob looked at him terribly when they can't see any vegetable on the table but all meat. 

She looked at her dad with curiosity.

"What? Don't you like the food Alice?" he calmly asked her with that poker face. She can't see any reaction from him.

She shrugged her shoulders while pulling a chair.

"I do love it dad for the second time in my life," she giggled and started eating.
