Chapter 39: The Request

"Please forgive me," I muttered and knelt before him. I smiled and stretched out the bouquets at her as she looked at me with a surprised look. I'm pretty sure that she wasn't expecting me to pull a stunt.

I proceeded to say. "I know I've wronged you in many ways. I know you've doubts about me but I want you to let go of the past and face the present with me,"

I arched my eyebrows as her expression changed drastically, from a surprised look to an angry and cold look. Somehow, her expression made my heart shake.

I was shocked and taken aback by her next action. She grabbed the flower from my hand and slammed it on my face. "What do you take me for, huh?" She asked in a cold and hostile tone.

"It's quite funny you think you can win me with this. I hate you. There's nothing you can do to make me believe and clear my doubts about you because I caught you with that," she raised her voice at me.
