Chapter 74: Marry Me

WHEN I realized that I had fallen in love with my wife and that Giovanni had already imprinted her, there was a time when I told myself that maybe I didn’t need her to love me. Maybe it was enough that I love her. Falling in love with anybody was not included on my to-do list anyway.

After I finished the thing with my father, I had planned to die with him because I also thought that only my death would stop him. And yet, I kept wanting to be with Alexandra. My eyes kept searching for her whenever I don’t see her. My heart would either drop or flutter with her every action until I couldn’t get away from her grasp anymore.

Maybe at the back of my mind, I wanted her to look at me, to love me. I wanted her to stop me. I wanted her to… save me.

And she did. Through her, I had found a way to live.
