“WHERE are you going, Sir?” Isaac asked when he saw me wearing my coat.

“To my wife.”

“There goes that look in your eyes again. Sir, I suggest you tone down your temper a bit. Right now, you don’t look like you’re meeting your wife. You look like you’re going to war.”

“If I catch someone lingering around my wife and making advances on her, then yes, Isaac. There could really be war today.”

“But Sir, what about work?” Tristan appealed. “There are still documents you need to review and sign today-“

“They are on my desk. Of course, I finished all the paper work first before calling my wife. Just what do you think of me, Tristan? I don’t slack around. I reviewed them already. The proposals I didn’t like are now in the trash can. Tell them that I expect better pitches next week. I don’t like people who half-ass their jobs. They have to be deserving of the salary I’m paying them or else, they can say goodbye to the company.” I waved at them after getting my car key. “Take care of the rest.
