"She's my sister," I replied, tired of having the same argument over and over again. "I'm not going to give up." 

"You're hurting yourself." He shook his head. "Many years have passed. You should focus on starting your search for your mate." 

"Mate?" I laughed mockingly. "I'm not interested in something like that." 

"Come on, Gabriel," he exasperated. "Are you going to spend the rest of your life looking for a person who may not even remember you?" 

"Don't you remember me?" I frowned. "Why shouldn't he remember me?" 

He became visibly nervous. He started to sweat a little, even the magic around him went haywire for a second.
