Adrien did not let go. He took me on his back, walking through the forest so easily that was enviable. I always walked here and I always had to take care of my steps or I would end up kissing the wooded soil. I had assured him that I was better and that I was able to walk on my own, but he seemed happy to have me around him. Listening to his breath calmed me a bit, feeling him close to me was all I needed to go back to my self.

The initial astonishment had passed and was then when I understood how easy it was to fall into the darkness. Allen Samuel had fallen by greed and I was about to fall for revenge. The hatred that lived in my heart handed an invitation to the darkness and was gladly accepted. I was lucky enough to have a mate nearby.
