The three of us stare at her, waiting for her to say something. I knew that I didn’t trust the other men, but it didn’t seem like she was unsure of us. It felt like she wasn’t telling us something.

Jaxon is watching her too, a little frown on his face. Did he know, or was she keeping things from him too?

“What do you say little wolf? Do you agree to tell the truth?” Quinn cocks an eyebrow at her

“Yes, but I’m not touching your hand.” She snaps at him

“Worried you will catch Lycan germs?” Quinn laughs to himself

“Hardly!” She growls back

“You really are a feisty little wolf.”

“You have no idea.” Her lip twitches as a low rumble comes from deep inside her. It was still strange to hear her growl. Or maybe it was Anika pushing through, if that was even possible?

Jaxon is watching Quinn rather than Blue. He doesn’t even blink as he keeps his gaze locked on him.

“Why are you really here Quinn? It can’t just be to test Blue.” Jaxon asks

“I saw an opportunity.”
