We watched as she left before turning back into the house. Blue almost kicked the door down, and I knew he was frustrated. I was too. We were just getting to the good part with our Bunny when the guard showed up and messed with everything.

He was kneeling in the sitting room when we walked in. Bella didn't see him because of the body mask he had on. Had she seen him, I doubt she would have left without demanding an explanation.

“My kings.” He bowed his head to the floor the moment we stepped in. “I apologize for interrupting you, but this is urgent.”

We strode over to our couch and sat on it, matching scowls directed at the man who had the worst timing in the entire universe.

“Speak up. What's the matter?” Blue questioned, his voice taking an edge.

Had he not been the border guard, we wouldn't have given him the time of the day. We only sent Bella home because we realized his coming wasn't for mere pleasantries.
