25. Whimper

I wondered if there was some kind of event going on in the Pack when we arrived. As expected, Ryan had doubled the security of the Pack border but my men were more than prepared for the assault that followed. My Beta, who had been hankering on being beside me in any place I went, came long, and his contribution at the border was quite substantial.

The dark, night sky was graced with a half grown moon and a few stars, so the world was basically as black as charcoal. But our perfect werewolf eyesight was able to let us see our enemies as though it was daylight.

They were stationed at every nook and cranny of the border, so they already knew we were coming and stood at the fringes of the line that separated the Pack from another territory, patiently waiting for their kill.
