LIA'S POV

Just then the door opened and the priest sauntered into the room, flanked by two other guards. He was carrying what looked like an old scribe. I wondered how old the book was and what it contained. They walked towards us and he stopped just right in front of Asher.

"You sent for me, Alpha." He said, lowering his head in reverence. "Yes, you are needed right now." He replied before gesturing to him to come after us while asking me to walk in front of him.

"So you were telling me about the conditions I am expected to keep to get better. When are you going going let me know what they are?" I asked him but he was quiet for a few seconds before he answered.

"This is not the right time, Lia. You should be thinking about what's about to happen. That will come later when you have recovered from the rejection." He explained. "Recovered? Is there something you're telling me? Is this very bad or am I going to be used like some lab experiment?" I asked, looking at him incredulously.
