Brendon calls me inside and grabs me by waist to get seated on his lap. He must have already heard Aubrey's complaint about me hitting her, which I never did in the first place.

" Out now," he orders his men, including Aubrey, to leave the office. Then leaning back on my neck he whispers," Now, tell me why did you get into a fight with Aubrey? You know that girl has endured a harsh life in a vampiric country just like how you did in the dungeon!"

I remained quiet not because I had no reply rather I don't want to ruin the mindset Brendon is having about Aubrey. I have seen her real face, she's a cunning woman greedy for luxurious items. I can't believe she suffered a harsh life like how I suffered.
