Chapter 55

The rogue came to a halt the moment he saw Amelia standing in front of a cave.

"I doubt the beta wolf would have ever left you this way. No one leaves a fresh meal so easily. Where is he?"

Amelia was already terrified by his appearance. His shirt had more holes in them than a basket. Bigger and more revealing holes.

He had blood running down his left eye and a little from his mouth.

All that was left for her to see was his brain and then, he would be a complete zombie.

She closed her eyes, trying her best to tightly shut it and stay calm. She was already frightened by his looks. Adding his sound to it would give her a breakdown.

"Please don't hurt me" she tried to distract him from the topic.

"And that is exactly what I am going to do" he took a step further. "Unlike before, I promise to be much more gentle. I swear by my people, you will not feel a thing" the rogue winked at her.

Fortunately, Amelia could not see his bright red eyes close themselves and open up again in an instant.
