Long Months

Time passed quickly and before Harper could realize it, her belly was swelling with the Lycan king’s heir. It has been suspiciously quiet from the white wolves, too. Half a year has passed and yet, the expected attack from the rival pack hasn’t happened.

Harper would like to believe that this is an indication of peace and harmony. If only she hasn’t known Brayden all her life. That man knew no peace nor surrender. All she believes now is that this silence is not for a good cause. If she were to be honest, she knows this silence is only the calm before the storm.

Damon has been very protective of her being that it’s become strict. She never left the camp. On the few times that she did, she was accompanied by at least two of their soldiers. However, those countable visits didn’t include her visit with her Grandma. Damon believes it was too risky now that she’s having the baby after a hundred days. She, being his queen and subordinate, only nodded in approval.
