23. Killing Me... Slowly

AMANISA’S POV

This moment will forever be a part of my memory. And trust me, I had a long list of memories that I would never forget.

“Do you have a problem with my order, Princess Violet? Will you like to take Amanisa’s place and duties while she represents you in the palace?”

King Archie was beginning to rub off on me and for his reaction, the first impression that I had of him had started fading.

The shock on Princess Violet’s face made the whole scenario even more memorable.

“Of course not, King Archie. I was just saying-”

“Let’s discuss more when I return from my Trip, Princess Violet. I have pressing matters to attend to.”

Again, King Archie cut off his chosen mate and he turned away from her and beckoned on me to follow him to the Royal chariot that was waiting close to the palace gate. Princess Violet was clearly wondering how I was able to escape death without the antidote that she chose not to provide.

I smiled evilly at the Chosen Princess before spinning around…
