KING ARCHIE’S POV“The commotion hasn't even started…”Well, it was long overdue.I would be lying if I said I was surprised that Amanisa was cooking up another drama. The palace had been awfully quiet for the past few days and I was beginning to worry since the atmosphere was strange. Violet wasn't doing anything and Amanisa who was the real drama queen hadn't done anything yet either except the inner court meeting that was held days ago. I haven't heard from her nor have I seen her in my room. We have been seeing only when necessary ad I made sure we see every day even though she didn't say much.Every day was necessary.“And she is back.” Jay muttered as I took steps toward Amanisa. My Lycan Spirit added, “What the hell is she wearing?” If my gammas weren't watching and perhaps if Ardin wasn’t behind me, I would have laughed so hard. Amanisa looked funny as hell and it took all of my consciousness and strength to hold back the laugh that was threatening to force its way out of me
AMANISA’S POVI was confident… I wasn't nervous at all… Not even when Ardin stormed towards me with a tight fist ad a loud growl… I remained confident. They were all lies… everything was a lie and deep down, I was worried as fuck but no one had to know. Kovan who had been mute ever since I tried to persuade him doesn't have to know that I was nervous and that my walls were breaking as I watched Ardin come for me like a mad bull.Ardin… shame on him. He called himself a Delta yet accepted to combat with me… a female that was supposed to be from his king's Family. I am sure he wouldn't have accepted if it had been Violet or any other true-born royal of the house of Kings… I was a true-born Royal but again, no one has to know that yet until I am ready to let that out. Ardin was approaching like wildfire and despite all the ranks I had gotten in the human Kung Fu society, combat world and also the world of Karate and many other types of martial arts, I was still less confident, knowin
KING ARCHIE’S POVWas anyone else seeing what I was seeing? Or were they all too blinded by the dominant energy Ardin was releasing and his anger?Could they see what I was seeing or were they simply seeing a fragile woman struggling in the arms of a big man with all the energy to snap her into two or more pieces?Could they see the way she slid and rendered Ardin useless for a minute?Did anyone notice that this is another side of Amanisa that I, Kovan had never seen before? Lycan King Archie might have missed it but Kovan shouldn't. Kovan was her lover and the closest person to her so why was he just seeing this side of Amanisa?I had once seen her as a fragile female… a rogue but something was different about her scent as she fought with Ardin. There was a huge difference and I could tell that she was barely at her full capacity.“She isn't the Amanisa I know, Jay…”I said to my Lycan Spirit with eyes still on the combat and especially on Amanisa. Every one of her moves didn't mis
AMANISA’S POVPain…Ache…Sting…And ache again… With each step, I took toward my living chambers, I felt pain all over my body and my face ached just as my lips stung painfully. However, I commended myself for being strong to the extent of laughing with Ava as we talked about how the combat went. I could not remember all the details because most of my actions and counter-attacks were done out of pure survival instinct but Ava kept tabs on everything and she narrated how she felt so proud watching me. I was happy that she was happy and Arla was too but Ava didn't see that my victory came with a price. Aside from the hurt my body carried like a second skin, my heart was hurt too… the Lycan Gammas couldn't even recognize their princess. I didn't expect much from them but I never expected that they would all be against me. And that triggered my darkness… no matter how hard I tried to push it back beyond the surface, it filled me to the brink right until I embraced Ava. Ava cleared th
KING ARCHIE’S POVIt was becoming more challenging than I thought.Separating myself from Amanisa and not feeling even more attached to her because I knew that I would have to get mated to Violet… was harder than I thought. And even now, I believed everyone was beginning to wonder if I would ever perform the mating ritual with Violet as planned initially because now, I spent more time with the Lady Of Royalty. We trained together, although I haven't tried to train Amanisa one on one for fear that I would break her. We eat together, privately, or with the other family members: my mom and Violet. We make plans together and have been monitoring the reconstruction of the previous Palace together.Amanisa and I had become a duo and getting away from her had become harder… the growth of my feelings happened within a week. After a week of hearing her laugh after I heard her cry in her bathtub. A week of sliding into her and filling her with my seeds, knowing that she might get pregnant at s
AMANISA’S POV“You are breathtaking, Ama.”Ava had said to me before we both left my chamber for the dining hall where Violet and her family would be, probably planning how to get rid of me over a bowl of bland soup. Ava kept cooing about how Kovan had picked the dresses in my closet himself just to make me look this beautiful… Ava believed that Kovan and I were meant to be…I was the queen she believed the realm needed… according to Ava.And she was right. I left my chamber knowing that I had to prepare for war… Violet wouldn't have been relenting all these days. She knew I was already stealing her supposed-to-be mate after stealing her shine away… Well, in my defense, I didn't steal anything. Everything I took and claimed has always been mine right from the day my mother conceived me.I was ready for whatever Violet might throw my way today and thanks to the good fuck Kovan and I enjoyed before he left my chamber to prepare for the goddamn lunch, my mind was clear… clearer than e
AMANISA’S POV “What1” Violet yelled as if her ears suddenly stopped functioning. Funny lass. She was hearing properly until I stopped Ava from doing as told and now she was brewing up another dramatic moment. I was so in for that. “Can we have a peaceful time here, Princess Violet? I am sure your parents will appreciate that.” I retorted, holding Violet’s sharp and piercing gaze. “We will be enjoying that without your rudeness, Lady Amanisa.” Violet fumed. She was trying to corner me and I knew that if I wasn't careful I will end up alone and in trouble. “You are never alone, Ama… I am here with you.” Arla chimed and released warm energy into me, encouraging me. “I wasn't being rude, Princess Violet. I was simply rejecting the belittling approach you used–” “Are you saying I can’t talk to your servant or I have to respect her–” “Like you said, Princess, my servant. You belittled me by giving orders to my servant without asking me. I wouldn't have done that to anyone sitt
AMANISA’S POV Clenched fists raised high to eye level. Dimmed eyes focused on the strong male before me. My shoulders prepared for hits and my body moved side by side… legs moving back and forth to make me appear more like the threat I had become. One two… I threw a punch and inhaled shallow breaths. Three four… I ducked, dodging the counterattack of the strong gamma male who was behind me. I was once again in between two men and struggling to put them in their places… Did I say I was struggling? That was a slip of the tongue because this was so easy. It has become a part of my daily activities. Sparing as I trained to open up the seal within me. Training to release every trace of darkness in me just so I could get back on track with who I should have been all this while. Now, after four days of watching Kovan pick Violet over me, I had become accustomed to sensing threats. Even though a Gamma was behind me and out of sight, I could sense his movements and could easily atta
