Chapter 144

Sinclair’s POV

Anyone found with the drugs would be tried and sentenced to be studied by the scientists of the pack for months. The witches would also help to make sure there was no drug in the pack. This would be a difficult thing to do but I trusted my people to be capable of handling things like this.

When the meeting was done, I headed for the room to see Jane watching Television.

She took one look at me and her face went blank with horror.

“What the devil happened to you?!” she squealed, zipping into me to hold me close to her body.

“I was engaged in a fight,” was my reply.

“And I’m sure this fight meant that no one on the other side survived?”

I sighed and told her everything I had gone through. It was a terrible thing to say with my mouth now as I was supposed to have given up the life of a warrior a long time ago. This time I was supposed to be a peacemaker. I didn’t need to be involved in all of this chaos but somehow I was involved in the chaos.
