I was mad that Sullivan would ask such a favor of me when he was to be ready for anything. Did he think I was playing here? I hoped he would not mess up my plan.

“Don’t argue with me, Sullivan.” I sighed. “I know what I said but I can’t stop the alpha from thinking of war when he clearly wants it. You should be ready to fight.”
