I got back from making plans with the rogue to see the witches playing a game on the street with the wolves.

What stupidity was this?

In the midst of all this chaos was Martha and indigo with the children strapped amidst their chest.

“What is the meaning of this?” I asked when I approached them. They took one look at me and frowned. “What is it?”

“You smell like shit… and alcohol,” said indigo, waving her hands when I found my scent had changed to perfume. “You’re welcome,” she sent a smile my way.

“I don’t care about how I smell.”

“You should,” said Martha. “The babies don’t need such negative energy around them.”

“Fine,” I sighed deeply. “Why is there a party here? On the street?”

“I heard from one of the wolves that this was the day when the pack was overrun by wolves from the neighboring pack around a thousand years ago so we decided to change the narrative and create something different.”

I looked at the witch leader after saying that.
