The ambush

I ran into the forest, using my knowledge of the terrain to avoid traps and obstacles.

She had not listened to a single word of what I had said. All she wanted to do was save the coven from certain doom.

She was just like her mother but not carefree like her father. She was as strong as him if not stronger if she stopped holding back. I could feel her straining to take out the enemies. But I knew untold power laid within her.

The smell of burning flesh and wood hit my nose as I got through the forest to see the coven miles away from me covered in flames.

Whatever had happened to the coven was serious. This was a war.

I ran towards the coven, using my powers to put out the flames.

Some wolves saw me and ran to me but I held their lungs and squashed it, watching them fall to the ground.

I didn’t like using my powers to extreme measures but if the opponents were going to burn down my coven then they had brought about war.
