When the two women had gone back in their barrier I faced Victoria who had a funny face. She was angry at how the witches had barely noticed her and disregarded her existence.

“I can’t believe I have to be in the same pack with those idiots,” she grunted. “I wish I could rip off their throats and their spines and feed them to the…”

“Hey,” I chuckled. “Relax. You shouldn’t think so violently of the people the alpha is protecting. You should be calm.”

“Oh I am calm,” she grunted. “I am extra calm. This is me being calm because if I wasn’t calm, I would have called for my soldiers to attack the barriers.”

I looked at the dome shaped dark aura around the empty space before us.

“I doubt they’d be able to do much against it. That barrier is stronger than anything else you can think of. So don’t bother about it budging. Instead of thinking of breaking through their barriers, maybe you should think of helping them build.”
