"Oh, I am sorry." I grinned at the injured werecat. "You did well by betraying your friend. I don't know if I can say the same about me."

She could betray me with something as measley as protection.

"I would never, knowing you could kill me." The werecat groaned in pain. It didn't bother me that she was in severe pain. It only excited me.

"Let her go." My little mate whispered with tears in her eyes. She was still staring at her friend in disbelief. I wouldn't believe my eyes either. But she wasn't my friend.

I gently removed my hands from the werecat's hair. Some parts of her brown hair fell to the dirty floor. I turned my gaze to my little mate, ignoring the werecat as she whimpered in pain. "See, anything you asked, I would have done it for you."

"Then you would have killed her if you didn't like what she asked. Stop pretending to be the good guy," the lover said. He wasn't worth my words.

"Little mate, is this who you chose to settle with? He is a wimp of a man."
