I pace the floor as I wait for my father to pick up my phone call. The ringing sound coming through the speaker of my phone is making me angry. Silently, I dare him to ignore my phone call. I will drive to Crescent Moon and kill him myself, but not after I torture him for the truth. No one tries to kidnap my mate.

Finally the ringing stops and my fathers grumpy voice comes through the phone. "Now isn't a good time," my father grumbles.

I can't help the growl that escapes my lips. "Why not?"

"It's just not a good time," my father repeats.

"Because the rogue attack on the royal mansion didn't manage to get you the Princess?" I snarl through the phone.

My father tries to sound offended but I know him too well. That scoff is the sound he makes when he has been caught in a lie. "There was another attack on the royal mansion?" He attempts to sound innocent.
