Chapter 74

WARD

"What do you mean she isn't in the bathroom?" I scream at my mother.

"Neither her or Sylvia is in there," my mother says with a worried look on her face. "Do you think something bad happened to them?"

"No, Mom." I yell at her sarcastically. "I am worried that they ran off together as lovers."

"Now isn't the time for jokes," my father groans. "Who is going to explain this to the King and Queen?"

I turn and look at my father as I throw money down on the table. "I guess we all are."

My mother and father share a look with one another and they both swallow hard. None of us want to explain to the King where his daughter went or rather the fact that we don't have any idea where she is.

As I climb into my car I open the mind link with the King. 'Your Highness.' I don't miss how my voice is shaking.

'What happened?' Is how the King responds through the link.

I take a deep breath and try to calm my nerves. 'Keena is missing.'
