Chapter 10: The House

I could understand if my confession made him scared. I knew hearing I had loved only one person for so long had to be shocking and a bit scary because what did that mean for us? But I meant it when I said I would choose no one over him. Jackson was just… fascinating. I couldn’t explain it. It had to be the bond, but also I wanted to say it was just him. That I would be fascinated with him without the bond. I couldn’t say for sure, but I did feel a very strong pull to him. Something I couldn’t believe was only the mate bond. I liked it a lot though, and couldn’t help but smile a little for the rest of the way, but when we neared a giant mansion, I felt confused.

“Is this?”

“My cousin’s? Yup.”

“I heard about there being a dungeon. Planning to tie me up?” I joked, as I crossed my arms, but when he turned to watch me, his eyes were glowing.

“Is that something you would enjoy?” he asked.

“Jackson!”

“What? I can do that if it gets you off,” he told me.
