Chapter 50: Don't Want To Be Queen

Roman’s idea was not bad… Oh, who was I kidding? It was brilliant. We could gather all the wolves and lycans again, and while I knew for certain that it was lycans who had done this, Roman wanted to be certain we didn’t rule out anyone. So, it wouldn’t just be a lycan party. There would be lots of werewolves there, too. But we needed a good reason to invite so many people and Roman had one idea which could bring them all together. I refused, though.

“Come on, Ana,” he said, annoyed, as he tried to convince me again that it was a good idea.

“I am not being introduced as your queen!”

“But are my queen!” he said.

“Doesn’t mean I want to be one!”

“So, you don’t want to be mine?” he asked, a small warning in his voice as he asked.

Careful… remember, we don’t want him to grow suspicious of us!

My wolf was right, and I sighed and looked away from him for a moment before turning back.

“It’s not that,” I said and saw his anger disappearing.
