Chapter 69: Connecting Again

“You actually made this?”

Roman looked at me shocked, as he tasted the food I had made him. I chuckled. I had gotten up earlier than him today and had decided to make him some breakfast. After everything at the party, despite saying he forgave me, I felt the distance between us, and I knew it was time we fixed that. We hadn’t spoken much, and Roman had barely touched me. I knew he was still just dealing a little with my betrayal and I wanted to give him time, but I missed his touch and I missed us talking. So, after making breakfast, I had gone to wake him up with a few kisses. He had enjoyed that, and I told him to come down and eat. We were in the kitchen, so no one could really disturb us except the ones working there.

“I did,” I told him. “I am not a horrible cook, in fact.”
