Dream

Elva's POV

"Ladies and gentleman, I now present to you the all three years topper junior of Bloody Snowden college, Mrs Elva Rowland!" My ears shot up along with the excitement travelling all over my body once I heard what the host has announced.

I stood up slowly and headed for the stage while the rest of the students were clapping loudly for me, some cheered and whistled, and some called out my name "Elva! Elva! Elva!".

I was so very drunk with all the attention and the proud feeling that came with it for it was all my hard work for the past three years.

A smile spreading widely on my red lips adding more light to my well dolled up face for the event.

I was to go and receive my certificate as well as give my speech to my fellow graduates on the stage. My eyes sparkling like a thousand stars and I felt like I had a halo behind my head as I climbed the stairs gracefully, my robe and my short green dress danced with the wind.

Everything was perfect, when suddenly my super expensive golden heel got stuck on one of the stairs spacings, stopping me from reaching for my dreams. I tried to pull it out but it wasn't working.

"Mrs Rowland! Mrs Rowland!" The host kept repeating my name as if I was getting late and I out of panic I screamed my lungs out. "NO!!!"

Everything came scrambling down, time was going backwards, I was drugged back to my seat, the stage and the graduates disappeared and then ……

Ring Ring! Ring Ring!

Oh how just so annoying it makes me feel, the sound of it travelling forcefully into my ears stopping everything in my fantasy world and yet I kept setting it every night so I won't be waking up late.

And again, it was the same dream, me graduating as a topper! Oh how I wanted the dream to continue and not just always stop at where I get stuck by the stairs.

Lifting my hand ever so lazily searching and finally slammed the button shut, dismissing the alarm. Being the daughter of the pack's Beta didn't help at all as everybody thinks, I have to be cautious with everything that I do since it would be used as an example for the rest of the youngsters of our pack.

I sat up groggily, my loud yawn echoing in the whole room. Everyday isn't the same day and that is why I really love the morning light so much, it gives me hope to reach for my dreams and never give up on them.

"At least it's another day Elva" I mumbled as I made my way to the washroom. Yes it was a new day but I still have to go to college.

What gave me the strength to keep it up is that it is the last semester, soon we'll be having our final exams and be done with those other long sessions that I'm not interested in.

Some people say it's the Beta genes in me that I prefer to become a person who can support and defend my pack against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

That is why I'm so stucked into political science and security studies, not missing even a single day of training at our pack's military base.

Although it takes a lot, my hardwork has started to pay off and bare fruits in my pack and I was joyful with it.

The smell of spicy fried beef brought me down to the dining room voluntarily, "Morning Mrs Rowland" I said in my father's voice and gave my mother a hug, my eyes shutted when I felt her warm lips pressing on my forehead.

My mom shook her head, she just finished setting up the table, her culinary skills are top notch that's why my dad and I are so bewitched. "Morning honey," she paused, her eyes raking my outfits from up to down as I sat down conscious of her judging eyes.

"Elva, what are you wearing honey? It's college not a club" she started with her usual taunts. It's not that she is a bad mother, it's just that she is able to notice every single change about me and it was my outfits lately.

"Mom please" I said, chugging down my chocolate milkshake, my eyes darting around searching for someone who was missing on the table today.

Mom sighed and sat on the chair beside me.

"Your dad received an urgent call this morning, pack matters, you know." she patted my back, coaxing me to go ahead and eat without him. I didn't comment on that.

Being a Beta stuffed him with a lot of responsibilities and the side effects of it are always swimming in our home, we ate quietly. I bid Mom farewell after breakfast before setting out for a new day.

Just when i sat on my bike, my phone pinged with a text.

(Zack lov) Rise and shine dummy, I miss you, come soon babe.

My lips curled up into a wide smile as I texted him back.

(Me) On my way foxy, missed you too.

I wore my favourite black helmet and raced away. Even though he was a real life punk but I still love him, I keep ignoring all the danger signs because even though his behaviour is faulty at least he is a good boyfriend at times.

The large metal gates of Bloody Snowden college were widely opened, students from different packs arrived , some by bikes just like me and some with their big brand cars.

I raced in and headed for the bike's parking lot, wearing my bag on my left hand. I slowly made my way to my gang.

All three were leaning on their cars, unlike them or other girls I preferred bikes over cars. Derrick and Aria are mates.

"Hey babe" called out Zack winking at me, I gave him a smile but greeted the two of our friends with our unique handshakes before heading over to him.

"Hey" we kissed shortly and he pulled me to stand in front of him, his hands circling my waist possessively.

"Elva, those blue eyes of yours are way too bright that I may go blind" stated Aria making all of them look at me. "So what's the good news?" She probed.

I just couldn't hold back the news anymore, they would find out anyway so I might as well do it myself. "What is it baby?" asked Zack, nuzzling his face on my neck, sniffing me.

"Nothing much, just excited for my second rank promotion at the pack training today" I broke the news earning their proud faces.

"Woah! What?" "That's dope El!" "I'm so proud of you baby!" They all congratulated me for the upgrade. Our pack training base has three rank types of soldiers, each rank comes with its privileges.

In our gang only Zack was able to pass upto third rank and I was very proud of my progress for a female because it wasn't an easy thing at all.

"Thank you guys" I said with a hint of blush, making Zack proud was all I wanted.

Just then a sound car made us all whip our heads to that direction, a golden Mercedes-Benz accelerated to the parking lot not far from us, leaving everyone in awe, just like the daily routine.

This particular masked senior always changes big brand cars as if he had his own car industry back at his home pack.

And the mysterious part is that he doesn't have any friends or mingle with anybody at the college.

He got off his car mightily with his usual cold aura and a mask covering the lower half of his face.

"Oh my God! The hot senior is here!" "Aww! He's so cute!" Sang loudly and giggled the girls around, but the mysterious senior who wore expensive clothes just by the looks of it, walked past them without giving away any reaction as usual.

"That fucking cold brat!" Cursed Zack under his gritted teeth as we make our way to our respective classes. They were in the same course and class as our seniors.
