Aurelia's POV

"Why would you treat me so nicely, touch me so gently and still keep me at arms length?" I had been trying to figure it out all on my own but it was impossible to keep up with his mood swings.

"Andre and I made a deal," I revealed. "The reward was that he would answer whatever question I had concerning you-"

I paused at his voice and made the mistake of looking at him. His eyes were sharp and piercing, it almost made me lose my confidence again but I clutched onto it like air.
