Dane's POV
In all my years on earth, I've never seen anyone who talked back at me like Gianna did. Though she had her reservations most times when she remembered our first incident but majority of the time, she was just so bold and hard headed that it never ceased to amaze me.
Most of the she wolves were known to be submissive but she was not. She wanted to have the upper hand at all times and it irked the shit out of me because I wanted to always be the one in charge and not have a mate who questions my authority.
Even when I am wrong, I never accept and apologise but with Gianna, I wanted to do every fucking thing to please her, even when it was not convenient for me.
It seems she was breaking every wall I had barricaded my heart with and just watching her standing there, looking so vulnerable with tears brimming in her eyes made me feel like the most wicked man in the world when all I wanted to do was protect her from harm.
