Isabelle's P.O.V

Lying on my captor's shoulders, I had regained hope as I saw Ethan and Brian sprinting towards me. Their faces were etched with determination and concern. And I felt a sudden surge of relief, knowing that I was not alone in this predicament.

As I watched them draw closer, I became aware of a strange sensation. It was as if my body was slowly coming back to life. I could move my head and my limbs, and I realized with a start that the effects of the chloroform were finally wearing off.

"Hurry!" Mila urged the men, who were now hastening their steps in an attempt to outrun Ethan and Brian. My heart raced as I saw the fence that encircled the entire town looming before us.

Mila and the men approached the fence with purpose, and I found myself wondering what they intended to do against the barbed barrier. To my surprise, Mila moved closer to the wall and, with a swift motion, dragged a massive stone out of the way, revealing a man-sized hole in the fence.
