Lucas stared at Dolph who stared back with hesitant eyes.“Go bring her,” Lucas said.Dolph grimaced, “Oh common, Lucas, don’t send me to undertake this gruesome task.”“Go bring her, you wimp.” Lucas snarled and Dolph got to his feet.“Sure, Lucas, way to go for always leaving me with the herculean tasks.” He said and walked out of the study.He walked into the living room just in time to see her coming in through the front door. Riley avoided Lucas for the rest of the day until she heard his car pull out of the driveway, it was the limousine and he was on his way with Brenda by his side. Although she felt hurt and knew she would always be second as long as Brenda was still here, she accepted the truth and she had said it to him herself. She was just his maid, his maid that was in love with him but apparently could never have a permanent place with him. Did it piss Riley off? Yes, very much, but she had some faith in what Lucas had said to her, he had assured her that he would work something out and she trusted him. She didn't have what to do, as long as Lucas wasn't in the pack, she was free to laze around, not until Dolph showed up later. "Oh, my fucking back!" He exclaimed as he walked into the living room. What?How? That wasn't possible! She couldn't be pregnant, now not! Not when she was just Lucas's maid! Her face turned ashen as she stared up at the doctor, the only question she could ask was, "How far gone?" He looked at her, wondering why she wasn't excited to hear the news, "Is everything alright, miss?""Doctor! Please!" She exclaimed, startling him. "How far gone?" "A week or so." He said. She sat up and ran her fingers through her long, sleek hair. "Oh no! Oh no, no, no, no!" She mumbled, her heart thumping violently against her ribs. This was bad, very bad, there was no other person she could be pregnant for but Lucas. What was she going to do? Could she even say this to him? When he was already engaged to Brenda? This was terrible news, the worst news possible! If she told Lucas this, it would shatter everything he had built up with Brenda and might even smear his reputation. She was a fool not to have been more careful, each time they had sex, he had released into her.

"Faster!" "Common, don't give up on me now, faster!" She kept saying to herself as she dragged her body on.How long had she been running? How far had she even gotten? She didn't know, but instincts told her she hadn't gone far enough. It wasn't so difficult to leave the pack, with Dolph in the living room, all she had to do was sneak out of the room she had been kept in and walk around the back door. She had to pass through the kitchen to get to the back door and everyone already knew her there so there was no cause for alarm. Dolph was biting his nails like a child when Lucas and Brenda walked in.Lucas became alert instantly, he knew that sign very well, Dolph only bit his fingers when something went wrong or when they lost a business contract. "Dolph, what is the matter?" He asked with panic. Dolph's eyes widened when he saw Lucas and he rushed at him, completely ignoring Brenda. "The craziest shit possible has just happened, Lucas, Riley..." He looked at Brenda, unsure of whether to break the news in front of her or not. Lucas took the hint instantly, at the mention of Riley's name his heart was already pounding. "Come." He said and they went to his study, Lucas jammed and locked the door then went around his desk and sat down. Brenda was left in the sitting room, fazed and perplexed by Dolph's attitude and reluctance to let the cat out of the bag in her presence.
