The Old Friend

I sat by the palace garden, watching the stars twinkle in the night sky. It was a peaceful and quiet night, unlike the chaos that had ensued earlier in the day with Raquel's arrival. But my mind was far from at peace. I couldn't stop thinking about the one night stand I had with the masked man at the tavern a few weeks ago.
