Liam sat in his room, staring blankly at the wall. He couldn't stop thinking about the upcoming marriage between Raquel and himself. It was a decision made by his father and Darius' father, but Liam couldn't understand why. He had no interest in Raquel, and he couldn't imagine spending the rest of his life with her.

As he sat there, he tried to reason with himself. Perhaps his father had made this decision for political reasons, to strengthen the alliance between their packs. But Liam couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something more behind this but he couldn't understand why his father never mentioned it, He wondered if his father was trying to push him into something he didn't want, just like he had done in the past.
