Chapter 7

I sat down on a couch identical to the one the Lycan sat on that was opposite his. Out of curiosity, I tried to follow the conversation with the Llycan and the other person, but soon I found myself lost in terms and subjects I didn’t even begin to understand.

I looked down at my lap and the room around me. Why had the Lycan called me? Was he really mad about last night? Perhaps, he wants to make sure I don’t tell anyone. God, I hope he didn’t banish me from the tribe. As much as I dreamed of escaping my family, a lone wolf without a tribe is basically a death sentence.

My heart started to race at that thought. What was I going to do? I glanced over at the Lycan. He stared at the laptop, his gaze never once looking away. How long was that meeting going to take? It was torture sitting here and waiting to find out just how much trouble I was going to be in.
