One Hundred-Ninety-Eight

I search through a few of the papers sitting on the desk in front of me. I then stand, and go through the cabinets and the drawers, finding all the information I needed, some I expected, and some I didn’t. I swear that I will kill Valentino when I catch up with him, looking at this paperwork, and with what Nyla told me, he has fallen even further than I thought he ever could.

One of the things I wasn’t expecting but should have known was that most of these orders and contracts have been approved and signed by none other than King Malik or his father. I shake my head at these papers. I can now prove that King Malik has never put the kingdom first and from the looks of some of these contracts, he makes millions off of Valentino’s business here.

I put all the files aside and pick up the phone, punch in the number and wait. He answers on the third ring.
