One Hundred-Thirty

I raise my voice just a little so that I am heard over all their laughing,

“Tate?” He is one of the slightly older pups playing with the younger ones

“Yeah, what is it?” He says without turning,

“Can I speak with you, please?…”

He then stops running passing the ball to someone else, he then makes his way over to where I am standing, stopping in front of me laughing until he looks up and realizes who called him over, his eyes then went wide, and his mouth dropped open and he then seems to be lost for words. It takes him a moment to pull himself together before he then bows slightly and says,

“Alpha… What can I do for you?”

“This little one said that no one will play with her…”

“Sasha?” She shies away from him a little, we both crouch down and I move her just a little so that she is facing both of us,

“Sasha, did you want to play?”
