Chapter 18

Declan knocked on the door to Lilly's room before he turned the knob and opened it. He stepped inside and saw his mate sitting on the bed while hugging her feet to her chest. Her head leaned on the top of her knees facing the window.

He smiled instantly when entering the room. Her sweet, alluring scent filled the entire room. Calmed him and his beast, made the two of them breathe in the air as much as they could, and sighed in relief. If Draco was out now, he must be smiling like a stupid Lycan.

"You must look at your stupid face then..." Draco mocked him back in his head and then back staring at his mate's little figure on the bed. Declan could only shake his head.

He walked approached Lilly, took a chair, and put it just beside her bed. Now that Lilly was aware of him being present, she looked instantly alert and scared.

"Hey, baby... How are you today?" He asked her softly. Contrast with the tone of his voice and how he usually talks with other people.

Lilly didn't dare to look
