Chapter 1: Susan

Celeste's point of view

I was taken aback by the cold sensation on my face. It wasn't a simple touch, but something you threw at my face. After I slapped it without hesitation, I felt a splash of cold water on my face.

I stood up in no time and looked at the voices laughing not far from me. I was greeted by three women wearing slave uniforms. They had a smile on their lips as they looked at me, who was now wet from the water they had thrown.

"Get up. What makes you think you are a princess because Senorito brought you?" one of the three who has short hair and I guess is in her 30s, said.

Besides this woman, there was another young woman with thin and curly hair, and the other was the woman standing not far from me and carrying a small basin; that must have been the one she used to pour on me.

The looks that I directed at them were blank. I saw the gradual hesitation of two but not one of the three with long hair and light skin, and you could see that she had a capacity for life because I noticed her hands with no trace of hardship in household chores compared to the two with calluses and rough palms.

This woman approached me and sat down to look at me, examining my entire being.

“Caiden is all mine, bitch. If I were you, I would leave before I drag you out of this mansion." There was a threat in her voice, but that word didn't make me back away.

"Where am I?" I ignored what she said and asked, then decided to stand up.

I didn't even bother fixing my messy hair because all I wanted at this time was to get out of wherever I was.

"Don't fool us; I know you're after money; that's why you're here, right?"

"Tell me how much you need, and I will double it."

My eyebrows furrowed because of what this girl said. I was even more irritated when she took out her wallet and took out a thousand dollars.

One of them whispered, "What shameless and disgusting behavior!"

"Who do you think she is?"

I ignored them and headed straight for the door, which I opened without hesitation. I was met by a handsome and tall man with blue eyes. He was staring intently at me as if he was expecting to see me.

“Y-You?” I whispered, surprised when I remembered what he did to me.

The man in front of me I don't want to be with. If so, he is my father's debt. I felt sad when I remembered what happened yesterday; dad had a gunshot wound. I hope they are in reasonable condition.

"You three," he said and pointed to the three assistants who were behind me.

“Get out.” The three acted quickly and quickly left this room, leaving the two of us.

He pushed me into the room, which startled me, and I quickly moved away from him.

"Sign it." He threw me a white envelope.

Having no idea, I opened it and my eyes widened when I saw its contents.

"Marriage contract?" I murmured, because why is my name here? In disbelief, I turned to look at him and showed him what I was holding.

“W-What is this?” I said and held up the paper I was holding.

"Sign it; I told you, didn't I? You're the one I want as my wife," he said, as if he wanted to sleep.

“I will not sign this!"

"I'm not interested!" I shout and stare at him with disgust.

"Whether you like it or not, you will sign it," he said coldly, which gave me the utmost fear because his eyes seemed to pierce the core of my being.

His blue eyes are blank; you can't see any emotion, as if he were dead but alive.

“No,” I firmly answered.

"Try me; you won't like what I can do."

Why am I in this situation? My life is fine; I'm not doing anything wrong, so why am I the one suffering like this out of all people?

“Please let you elude me. I have nothing to do with papa's debt to you," I begged, but there was no emotion on his face.

He picked up that marriage certificate again and pulled my arm. He sat on the nearby sofa, and without hesitation, he pushed me to the other sofa.

"Sign."

"I do not want!" I'm stubborn because I

Can't marry a man I don't love.

“Okay.”

I was very surprised when he pulled out his expensive cell phone from the black strap he was wearing and called.

"Kill them," he said and turned to me with a devilish smile. When I realized what he was talking about, I couldn't stop my tears from flowing.

He just watched my reaction. I took a deep breath before meeting his blank look.

"I'm preparing to sign," I forced myself to say that.

I closed my eyes and signed that marriage contract. He watched me until I finished signing the contract.

"Get ready later. Wait for me, right now I have some things to take care of." I didn't understand what he wanted to convey, but I just didn't think about it.

I didn't do anything but cry because it was over; I was tied to a man I didn't know at all.

That demon is Caiden Elixir Montenegro, the beast in the business world. He is well known because he is a powerful person all over the world. I only hear about him because people in my shop often talk about him, and he is also often featured in the news and magazines. I didn't think he was a Mafia King; I don't know anything about the Mafia, but as far as I am aware, they commit crimes against and deadly people. And now I'm one of his possessions, and I'm aware it's not easy to escape someone like him.
