Chapter 19: Are you f*cking kidding me?
Kitty! Kitty!” Grace shouted when she got to her floor, no way was she been trained by those idiots! She wanted out and she wanted to get back to Senegal.

“Yes Miss, I am here!” Kitty said.
“Kitty, can you please show me where my suitcase and things are? I also need a phone and taxi number please!" Grace asked.

“Because I am going back Senegal!" Grace said.
“Pardon Miss?” Kitty said looking stunned.
“Kitty dearest would you mind leaving my Granddaughter and me alone for a bit. Maybe get some tea and some of those delicious chocolate cookies your Mother was planning to make?” Tony said in a gentle voice.

Xan watched Grace walk down the stairs and tried very hard not to stare at her too much, he did not want to scare her off after all! He could not believe his luck when Grace had so easily agreed to try him out. Xan made sure that he planned the date down to the last detail. But, as soon as he saw he could not remember a single detail. Grace was too busy concentrating on walking downstairs in far too higher heels to notice Xan’s lustful stare. “Why did I let Kitty talk me into wearing these stupid heels?” Grace thought. The momentary lapse of concentration resulted in Grace twisting her ankle and falling down the last couple of stairs. Xan instantly dropped his large bouquet of orchids and rushed to catch her. Grace was suddenly staring into Xan’s caramel brown eyes and could feel herself getting lost. “Are you ok?” Xan asked, his voice full of concern. “Oh my God! I am so sorry, Xan!” Grace squealed as she righted herself.

Grace loved the fact that she was alone for the first time in weeks, alone and free. She did not know what had come over, whether it was the fact she was tired of men trying to control her or she needed space to breathe, but she had easily climbed out of the window! She had taken off her ridiculous shoes and slung them over her shoulder. Grace ran into the park enjoying the moonlight and fresh air, stopping briefly to look at a fountain. When she walked to the other side of the park and noticed a hospital. Grace walked over there with a smile on her face. Meanwhile, Xan and Hank were waiting anxiously for Grace to return. After 20 mins, Hank sensed something was wrong. “Mrs Ling, could you please check the loo to see if Dr Evans is OK?” Hank asked. Mrs Ling nodded and hurried to the female loo. She came back a couple of minutes later, her face white.“I am afraid she is not in there!" Mrs Ling said. “Shit! I knew she was upset!”
