Chapter 01 : Doctor Samantha.

Everyone is running here to there.

The hospital fire alarm sounded, which is a symbol of danger, so everyone ran from the death.

But this is a hospital. There are so many patients lying hopelessly on hospital beds.

    "Doctor, the patient is not responding." One of the nurses screams

A lady doctor runs to the patient, wrapping her stethoscope around her neck.

     "Shit, miss."

   "Can you hear me?" The doctor asked to tap on the patient's cheeks.

   "Damnit, she's not responding."

   "It's a heart attack, we have to do CPR now." The doctor said this while checking the patient with a stethoscope.

   "Right now, that's not possible, Doctor Samantha." The nurse argued with Samantha.

Samantha looks at her in anger.

    "Are you crazy?"

   "If we don't do CPR on the patient now, she will die."

   "Bring a defibrillator!" Samantha ordered

   "But ma'am, the fire alarm is ringing. If we stay here, we will die. " The nurse said, she was trying to protect her own life.

   "Shut up, cut your crap. I am a doctor, not a thief. A doctor cares for the life of the patient. If the doctor leaves the patient after seeing his/her safety, then the medical certificate does not matter." She exhaled a sigh.

   "But." The nurse tried to talk to her

   "If you want to go, then get lost, but remember my warning in your mind. From today onwards, you will never again show around the surroundings of the hospital. " Samantha warned her while showing her finger.

The nurse decided to shut her mouth because she was scared.

    "If a nurse can't save a patient's life, then she has no right to be in this field."

    "You can leave and save your life, but don't come back here because you don't deserve this position. I will save the life of my patient myself. No one will die today. "

Challenging herself, Samantha removes the doctor's coat.

Then Lilly, who is her CO staff and best friend, comes to her.

   "Hey, what happened, Samantha?" Lilly asked.

  "Doctor Lilly! It's a heart attack,  start CPR right now. " Samantha said.

   "I got you. I will bring the equipment. " Lilly runs away to get the equipment.

   "What? Why are you still standing here? I told you to get out of here. " Samantha shouts at the nurse.

   "I am sorry, doctor. I will not make such a mistake again in the future. I have come to this field only to save the lives of the patients and not leave them." The nurse apologized, bending her head.

Samantha does not react or reply to her.

   "I am performing cardiac massage."

Samantha keeps one hand on the patient's heart and massages her a bit. She tries to bring it back. 

On the other hand, patients and some doctors were both running in fear.

But Samantha has the determination to save this patient. 

The next minute, Lilly came by with the equipment.

   "Everything is ready," Lilly said. "

     "We are performing CPR."

    "Please focus. " While altering them, Samantha takes initiative for the patient. 

   "200 joules." They continue the process.

But still, the patient's heart rate doesn't come back.

  "Damnit again, 200 joules." Samantha again continues the same process until ventilation starts again.

Everybody sighs in relief when the pulse returns.

   "ROD! rate came again." Sam said proudly.

Lilly rolls her eyes around the surroundings.

   "Where is the damn fire?"

    "I checked the whole hospital but still didn't find anything. " Lilly was frustrated.

    "You'll know now." Samantha rolls her eyes at customers and her co-workers who are running here and there.

   "Everybody stop." Samantha yelled at the top of her lungs.

When her scream echoes around the room, everyone stops and looks at her. On the other hand, the alarm stops all of a sudden.

The security guard comes to Samantha

   "Doctor, you are right. There was no fire in the surroundings, and I turned the alarm off. " According to the security guard,

  "What! Then why did the alarm ring?" Lilly questioned

   "Someone was smoking near the alarm clock." Samantha analysed the thing.

   "Huh someone smoked in the hospital, but who?" Lilly is furious with anger.

Patients and customers look at each other. But the one boy was looking here and there in fear.

    "Aren't you?" Samantha asked. pointing her finger towards the random boy.

    "ME!" The boy is scared.

    "Yes, I warned you yesterday as well when you were smoking in the hospital." Samantha takes a step forward toward the boy.

   "What rubbish. I didn't do anything." He chuck

   

    "Don't blame me. I'm the patient's guardian." The boy defended himself.

    "Oh? It is okay, no worries. Cameras are installed all around us. The footage will reveal what happened earlier." Samantha smirked.

The boy panics, but he doesn't show.

     "Doctor, this boy has smoked Ten minutes before on the fifteenth floor." Another guard said, entering the scene while pointing to the boy, the boy who was suspected right now.

   "What nonsense you're all trying to get me in trouble, right?" The boy, furious in anger 

     "I will file a case against this hospital and then you will see." The boy suddenly blamed everyone.

Samantha gave the boy a tight slap, which made him shut his mouth immediately. 

Everybody looks at her shockingly.

Samantha took the tab and showed the security video to the customers. When the alarm rang, the boy ran away. 

Everybody started gossiping after that. 

  "What will you say now?" Samantha questioned him.

   "This is!" The boy tries to make excuses.

    "Some patients may have died as a result of your single mistake. Dammit, why don't you understand? Don't you feel ashamed? " Samantha was irritated, so she pinched her nose with her thumb.

    "Don't you know it is a big crime to smoke in public places? You are also the guardian of a patient. Don't you even care about your family? If you want to smoke, then you can smoke outside of the hospital, but what was the need to smoke inside the hospital, you idiot? " A boy stood while bending his head in shame.

    "Surrender him to the police because of a few people like him, we will always suffer." A random patient said

    "Yes, Samantha. This is totally against our rules and hospital. We have to take action against him. " Lilly said

    "No, no! Please don't do this. I am sorry. I accept my mistake and I am ready to take the initiative of losing everything. " Boy begged

Suddenly, the police horn buzzes.

    "Sorry, it's too late now. I warned you yesterday and forgave you because you are a guardian of my patient. But you repeated the mistake, now I will not let you do any wrong with my patients." Samantha cuts him off.

Police came inside the hospital and met Samantha.

   "Who's the culprit?"

    "He is." Samantha said pointing at the boy.

The police boy got a hold of him, and the boy was helpless.

   "Whatever explanation you want to give, now give it to the police and till you do not come, I will take the initiative of your patient, so don't worry about the patient." Samantha said.

The boy didn't react to anything, and the police took him.

   "Now all of you patients, please occupy your places back here. The doctor will start your checkup and treatment back here. " Samantha said.

Samantha gestures to all the nurses to take care of patients.

    "Well done, doctor." The doctors appreciated her.

   "Thank you!" Samantha smiled.

All the doctors again start their treatment and everyone occupies their seats.

   "God, it scared me to death!" Lilly sighed in relief.

   "Doctor Samantha, the director is calling you." The nurse comes in and said

Sam and Samantha look at each other.

   "Whoah, is he missing you?" Lilly makes fun.

   "Shut up, go check the patients in the emergency room." 

    "May I come in, sir?" Samantha says as she walks to the director's cabin.

   "Yes, come in." 

Samantha entered inside.

  "Sir, have you called me?"

   "If you have come here, that means, obviously, I have called you Dammit, stop your nonsense. The director shouted at Samantha

    "Bastard." Samantha yelled from inside.

   "What happened to Marcel?"

   "Sir, he's on leave."

   "Who approved his leave?" The director rolled his eyes.

    "Sir, I am the team leader of our team.

  "Marcel took permission from me because his wife's delivery week is coming up." Samantha replied

   "Rubbish, shut up." The director took a file and threw it in Samantha's face. 

Samantha shut her eyes and held her anger.

   "Dammit, who the hell are you to grant permission? You are only the leader of your team, not the hospital. You know you did such a wrong thing by giving him leave. Now there's a patient who will see him. " 

   "Sir, if you change the shift, then you can simply give the work to another doctor than Marcel." "Make it fun," Samantha said smartly

   "Yeah, now there's only this option: someone has to replace him."

    "Yes." The director laughs, suddenly showing his teeth.

    "Then you replace his place. This is a kid who is depressed. Go and look out for him."

    "What, sir, but I am not a pediatrician?" 

    "I know you are a cardiothoracic surgeon and one of the best doctors here, Dr. Samantha, but I don't give you any shit."

Samantha stares at him in anger because she knows he's jealous of her.

   "Now you are the one who made all this mess, so now go and make it right. You don't have any options anyway; you are one of the top 5 cardiothoracic surgeons in the world. " Director looks at her

     "But don't test my patience again and again. "Now go and check the patient." The director screams like a dog.

    "Okay, sir." Samantha came up with the file.

Lilly is standing outside

 "What happened?" she asked.

   "Fog happened, argh, I want to kill this bastard." Samantha was furious in anger

   "Relax, he's our director. we have to tolerate him."

Lilly gives her a drink.

Samantha opens the can and drinks it to refresh herself.

    "By the way, he's taking revenge." she laughs.

    "Revenge for what?" Samantha rolled her eyes.

    "The director has proposed to you, but you have rejected his proposal on his face." Lilly Laughs.

    "Hey, I can't accept a loser like him." Samantha rolled her eyes 

   "You know some time ago, he had run away to save his life, leaving everything behind."

   "He doesn't deserve the director position." She drinks the cold drink

    "Haha relax, we all know he became the director because of his father, and his father is our chairman." Lilly laughs out loud. 

  

 "Okay, leave. I am going to meet Marcel's patient. "

A baby boy is sitting in a chair in the doctor's cabin. Normally, children are cheerful, but this baby boy does not have a smile on his face. He is angry.

An old man is sitting with the baby boy.

  "Good morning!" A sweet voice comes from behind, which makes them look back.

   "Hello myself, Samantha. I’m your doctor for today." Samantha walks towards them.

  "How about the old doctor?"

     "He's on leave and I have all the details of the patient, so don't worry."

    "I’ll give my best." Samantha's eyes travel to the baby boy

   "Hey, baby!" He doesn't reply to her, instead, he looks at her with a serious expression.

A smile appears on her face when she looks at the personality of a baby boy. The kid is wearing a suit like he is going to the office or work.

    "If I’m not wrong, he is the patient, Damon." Samantha said.

  "Yes!"

  "And sorry, sir, who are you?" Samantha asked.

   "I’m his guardian, Martin." Martin handshakes with Samantha and the two of them sit down in the chairs.

    "I have read the patient file, but what is the problem, I do not understand?"

  "By the way, where are the patient's mom and dad? Haven't his parents come? If not, please call them. I want to talk to them; then only I can go forward. " Hearing the names of Mom and Dad, Damon looks at Samantha with painful eyes.

    "Doctor, I can explain the problem, but right now Damon's parents are not available." Martin said.

    "Okay, hey baby, can you go outside for two minutes?" Damon looks at Martin. He shakes his head.

   "Who is outside?" Martin screamed.

The bodyguard enters the cabin.

   "Take him out." Martin ordered.

The bodyguard takes Damon out of the cabin

    "So, tell me, can't he speak from the beginning or is there some other problem?" Samantha inquired.

   "Damon lost his voice after one disaster, otherwise he used to make noise in the house like other children." Martin explained.

Samantha's eyes travel to Damon. He is sitting alone, and loneliness is clearly visible on his face.

She don't know, but seeing Damon like this, Samantha feels pain in her heart, like Damon is not there but she is hurting inside. She feels a strange connection between them.

An ambulance stops in front of the hospital.

   "Bro, why are we here?" The person asked.

   "To kidnap someone." Another one replied.

   "Who's that?"

   "This boy, Damon." The person shows the Damon photo.

Both these people change their clothes, wear a ward boy uniform, and enter the hospital.

Since English is not my first language, there will be tonnes of grammatical mistakes. Please continue reading if you don't have any issues with that. I can guarantee you won't be bored with the storyline.
