"Mario doesn't want me. He doesn't even like me. All that he ever did to me was to make me suffer," I said, pacing up and down the room.

"You are married to him, Gia. He must have married you because he likes you," Sofia advised. And that wasn't true.

"He doesn't like me. He told his friends that in front of me," I said, sitting down on the edge of the bed. Sighing. I threw myself on the bed and groaned.

"Then maybe he had a change of heart," Sofia replied. I tilted my head and looked at her, and she smiled.

"You're beautiful, and he's not blind," she added.

Ugh. I didn't want to think that Mario no longer hated me. He was a very unpredictable man.

If I ever let my gut down, he would turn on me like a snake and bite my ankle. And I wasn't going to risk that.

I sat up on the bed when I realized something, "It sounded urgent when Mario called you. What do you think was the reason he wanted us to leave the park so soon?"
