Alicia’s POV

I couldn’t go home, could I?

I began to think through the safety information I’d read multiple times after my abduction at the college. I didn’t want to go through that again so I’d digested ask much as I could whenever I was free.

Police station?

No. I couldn’t. It may have been what a normal citizen would do but I didn’t want to involve the police in Mikael’s and Acker’s business.

The only option that remained was for me to go to a safe spot. Where could I go?

Acker was out of the country for the time being.

I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel and decided that the casino would be the best place to go.

At the very least, Mikael’s men wouldn’t hurt me and would do whatever it took to protect me.

I began to speed up, bursting out into the highway and wove in between traffic. Car horns sounded all around me and I pressed the button to roll the windows up. No distractions. I needed to get to the casino.
